Amid financial challenges, DNA testing company 23andMe is reportedly exploring a potential sale, which could place the genetic data of over 15 million customers in the hands of new ownership.
The implications of this sale are significant, raising concerns over data privacy and the potential misuse of sensitive genetic information:

Good job l.never did get round to doing a DNA test then. I’d hoped to. Lucky escape.
I’d planned to get a DNA test done years ago, but something forever conspired against me doing so, and it simply never happed. Then a couple of weeks back, l downloaded information on three sites, and was calculating cost of a choice, hoping to do it before l die (l’m rising eighty, six years older, than my known oldest relative, who’ve all, alreay died) Thinking it might one day be useful to my descendants. But the recent sale of DNA testing site, and rereading this article of yours, has made me think l was right to be careless in not responding to their adverts. Think l’ll stay that way, if for no other reason, than to protect my descendants.
