Everybody’s life is different, so much of what we can do on an individual level depends on where exactly we are exposed to the virus. The following is not medical advice and only my opinion. How I have reached that opinion I am explaining in this post.
- Wipe down your phones. You probably touch them more than anything else. It doesn’t matter how often you wash your hands if you keep touching your same phone again and again.
- Buy latex gloves. On many surfaces, the virus can survive for hours. Make sure you touch as little objects as possible that are touched by others.
- Whether or not climate impacts the spreading has been discussed. I am convinced it does, but I’ve been wrong before. Because of that, I am avoiding crowds in air-conditioned places.
- Being rh negative, I cannot count on being protected from this virus. As we have seen Chikungunya studies may have shown zero cases of Rh(D) negative individuals among its database of infected individual, but when looking at another infection of viral origin, HIV, there are Rh(D) negatives among the patients. Less than then numbers of controls, but still If you are exposed enough, resistance doesn’t matter much. Reduce exposure. It can also keep the viral load low IF infected which might help with a speedier recovery process.
- Stress less. It weakens your immune system. You need your immune system to be strong.
- Eat fresh and natural food. Take it seriously. If you have “bad habits”, reduce or cut them out. (alcohol, tobacco, etc.)
- Be careful what medicine you take. If you haven’t read up on that, go to Google. (e.g. Ibuprofen)
- Don’t watch TV about it all day. It can drive you insane.
