If we became extinct, it would be a sad society to live in. We are the empaths, the teachers, the helped of the world. I personally believe I was sent by God here on a mission to serve humanity. Call me crazy but many of my co- Rh negative friends have expressed the same sentiment. I find that an interesting sentiment.
Stay safe. We need you.
I have a theory. If I am correct with what I have been listening to. A,B, AB blood types are dominant over O blood types. Positive is dominant over negative. This would push O rh negative to a recessive gene carried along from one generation to another with the chance of popping up. Both parents, for instance, could be B+ and have an O- offspring when the two O- recessive genes come together. Its a slim chance of occurring but does happen. Correct me if I am wrong. To me that would mean you would never know when or where an O- would pop up. I am O- so more concerned about my blood type than the A-, B- or AB-s even though they are of a far less percentage than myself. I still do not know how I turned up O-. I do not know my parents blood types. They are both gone. Did not know my grandparents on my mothers side, who were both from Germany. They were gone before I was born. My two siblings are both O+. This has been quite a curiosity to me. I asked a former phlebotomist, who now works with people with blood disorders, if he could shed some light on the O- blood type. His response was only, “It’s a GOD thing!” I have no idea what he meant by that and he would give no other explanation. I am also a universal blood donor. I occasionally come across another O- and ask if they donate, this includes my husbands two brothers who are both O- and his Mom is O-. One brother cannot donate because of hepatitis C. The other his veins are to small and they wont take him. Same with most of the O-s I come across. They don’t donate because their veins are to small. They use an 18 gauged needle to draw with and I didn’t know till recently that by law they can only draw for 15 minutes. If they have not filled the bag in that time they have to shut it down. It must be a clotting issue. I have no problems. Easy to hit either arm and fill the bag in 5 to 6 minutes, and Im out of there. I have lots of questions for which I can find no answers. If there are those out there who have answers they wont give them or can’t for whatever reason. I keep digging and connecting dots as I go but still seeking answers. Thank you for your research. I believe others on this forum do too.
all who are able should be allowed to donate blood if they want to do so; but i’m of the strong opinion that O negative people (able adults) should be well paid for their blood, since it is so useful and highly valued. this world is awash in far too much untruth, swindles, illusions, falsities, forced-situations and so on off-the-mark of goodness things – that one should and can easily look toward these things & facts for much of the explanation for why humans/individuals/humanity have problems (within/without & between). things are often much more complex, interwoven & deeply challenging than most are ever willing to admit or can deal w/. many just ignore, deny and/or fight against that which & those things they cannot understand, do not like and/or cannot be/become. i’m just dealing w/ it all as well as i can, while doing my best to live a satisfying life. – success to those & that which are good – and/or those who seek this or a closer approximation to it, while being guided by human ideals always –
They have a hard time getting blood out my viens as well. I have not been able to get a full bag more than once. This stinks because I have hemochromatosis and sometimes they can’t get any blood so I have to go home and then come back the next week. Frustrating
