I was a child when he was president and have no opinion on him politically. I did see him about 7 years ago in Keywest Florida eating breakfast at blue Heaven. I’m pretty oblivious to these things and remembering faces but my husband saw it and the secret service detail right away. It was nice, those secret service men and women had the best job there. I would have thought he was a well loved grandfather with 15 of his children all out to eat if I wasn’t told.
They were like a little family and everything seemed very light.
I feel very similar. Jimmy Carter was the first president I remember seeing on TV. I always had positive feelings towards him and thought of him as a pretty decent guy considering…(Fill in the blanks).
I never had any positive feelings towards Queen Elizabeth, but even when she died,.it was definitely a strange end to an era for me.
Maybe it has something to do with Jimmy’s blood type having been A- like mine.
