UPDATE:
The content linked to from the post below appears to no longer exist on Facebook. The results of the conversation were that a connection between blood types and albinism is not supported.
I have not too long ago contacted the admin of the number 1 albino page on Facebook and asked him to ask his members if they know their blood types.
Before it has been brought to my attention that blood type and albinism could be connected, so I wanted to get an indication of whether or not there is something to it.
So is there?
See the post and the comments on Facebook here and decide for yourself:
For those with albinism, what is your blood type?
so what was the response amongst the group?
Very strange, the entire page seems to be gone
https://www.facebook.com/Albinism/
Nothing stood out about the many responses from what I recall. Percentages of Rh negatives among the replies were a little higher than the European average, but not significantly.
Hi Mike any further info on this?
A reconstructed fragment of one of the Dead Sea Scrolls describes Noah as an abnormal child born to normal parents. This fragment also provides some insight into the pedigree of Noah’s family, as does the Book of Jubilees. According to these sources, Noah’s father (Lamech) and his mother (Betenos) were FIRST COUSINS. Lamech was the son of Methuselah, and Lamech’s wife was a daughter of Methuselah’s sister. This is important because marriage between close relatives is sometimes involved in pedigrees of autosomal recessive traits such as albinism.
If this interpretation of ancient texts is correct, Noah’s albinism is the result of a consanguineous marriage, and not only is he one of the earliest albinos on record, but his grandfather Methuselah and Methuselah’s sister are also the first recorded heterozygous carriers of a recessive genetic trait. The scripture states that Noah was PURE IN HIS GENERATION, Noah’s father was Lamech the Son of Methuselah which was the son of the RIGHTEOUS ENOCH, that walked with God. Keep in mind Enoch was both a prophet and a king. His son Methuselah, became the first High priest in the pre-flood world and was succeeded by Noah’s brother Nir. There is something about this righteous bloodline, that was destined for becoming, kings, high priest and prophets, Only amongst the Righteous though, So these GENETIC TRAITS, would have passed on into Shem’s bloodline and descendants after the flood. Shem’s descendants occupied India, the levant iran, all the areas associated with the Aryan races of middle east.. These traits were also to be kept within close family members, therefore interbreeding was common amongst them. not directly between bother and sister but for definite first cousins. Something many of the elites have in common. Also been found amongst the irish ancestry royals.
