Hey Mike, this made me think of a discovery near the Basque area in 2020. Its from Spain but the University of the Basque Country is studying it. They found like 400 Muslim tombs which confirms they occupied the area for quite a while.

Also, someone recently claims to have discovered king Solomons mines in Spain and says the biblical king who sold to him was a Phoenician and they were from Iberia. He speculates they possibly sailed to America to get the copper.. interesting because I read an opinion piece(at least I think it was) that claimed Jezebelle from the Bible was actually the queen of Israel and a Phoenician princess.
Some people think the Celts were originally from Iberia. I did an ancestry test on my A- mom and she is 5% Iberian, 48% Irish, with Scandinavian and Central European split between the rest.
So my theory at the moment, subject to change any second, is that rh-‘s originally came from the Iberian and Italian peninsulas and are so spread out because the Phoenicians were the best seafarers, then they got wiped out for whatever reason and retreated to isolation.
