See also: Where are the Neanderthals when we need them?
The Neanderthals live in us and through us.
We continue their line.
They were not evolutionary inferior.
Imagine 800 tribes spread across Europe and parts of Asia with 25-35 members each.
Then came the modern humans by the dozens and maybe hundreds at a time, mostly if not exclusively males exploring new territory.
What do you imagine happened?
You are so right, the Neanderthals live in and through many of us. My dna is out there too and I have learned so much about myself and where I come from. I have 329 Neanderthal variants which is less than 2% of my total dna. I find this interesting because I have had flat feet all my life and I am more comfortable standing than sitting. I do not look anything like the pictures that we see of Neanderthal’s. I grew up as an adult sometimes being mistaken for Farrah Fawcett. Our little girl pictures are almost identical. My dna links our mothers together as cousins. I find that dna is unraveling many mysteries of the past and present and I look forward to the future of more dna discoveries.
