   Reflexively I would think JFK was Rh Negative. I did some research and found a consensus:

   JFK was of Irish heritage. Both parents were Irish as well as both sets of immigrant grand parents. JFK’s eye color listed as blue-grey and photos seem to confirm this. Also listed, his hair color was reddish brown. These characteristics plus his heritage seem decidedly Rh Negative. JFK’s personal life was complicated but there is no doubt JFK was far more concerned with a peace and uplifting citizens as well as creating and maintaining good relations with all humanity working toward a peaceful world community – more so than any other president. These seem more Rh Negative characteristics than Rh Positive.

  Before I share my interesting story about my Family’s blood mix,
  I do wish to address this topic about the RH neg POTUS’s,
  especially Obama’s AB neg…

  This may sound conspiracy theorish to some people, but take a look again at Obama.
  Doesn’t he highly resemble Malcom Little AKA Malcom X??

  What’s interesting is that Malcom X’s mother was Biracial
  ( African-Grenadian, possibly English or Scottish )
  Malcom X was RH neg as well.

  Malcom Little’s nickname was Red because of his Reddish Hair and ‘light skin’
  ( we in the Black Community call
  reddish hair : Sandy Hair )
  I myself have Sandy ( reddish ) Hair.

  My Family is very diverse. My maternal Grandmother, Sarah ( born in KY 1895 ) Family linage
  was German ( I suspect Ashkenazi, the Ashkenazi on my grandmother’s maternal side )

  My maternal Grandmother Sarah also had linage from the UK , both my Grandmother’s mother and her father ( Wales and England )
  and Irish ( Dublin ).

  My maternal Grandfather( Ky, 1892 )
  was Brass Ankle /Melungeon aka Mulatto aka Negro ( ” re classified by the US Government as Negro after the One Drop Rule was enacted in 1924 )

  My grandmother and grandfather fled their birth home ( KY ) to Ohio,
  in the early 1920’s because of their interracial relationship.
  My Grandmother being disowned by
  her family, and my Grandfather to be hung, by the Ky locals when they ( the locals ) were privy
  to my grandparents relationship.

  Because of miscegenation laws, my Grandparents did not marry, although my sister and Brother
  and I did NOT know this fact while growing up.

  My Father’s Family linage ( also born in KY in 1924 ) were Brass Ankles, African and Caucasian ( The Caucasian mix Scottish/Wales..

  My mother passed over in spirit in 2002 of a rare blood disease called Polycythemia vera.
  Polycythemia ‘ highest percentages are in Ashkenazi Jews.

  My aunt ( on my mother’s side ) died of Pancreatic Cancer which Pancreatic Cancer,too has high percentages in Ashkenazi Jews.
  My half sister ( on my mother’s side ) survived Breast Cancer ( which Ashkenazi Jews have higher percentages of Breast Cancer )

  My maternal Grandfather suffered with Rheumatoid Arthritis ( I suspect my Grandfather, also of mixed blood ancestry was also RH neg Recessive

  Me, my brother and cousin ( my maternal Aunt’s daughter ) all have autoimmune disorders.

  I have vitiligo, I suspect Crohn’s Disease and my Doctor has informed me that I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my blood.
  Crohn’s Disease has high percentages in Ashkenazi Jews.
  I have many urinary tract infections, and hearing/ear problems. I also had Eczema as did my mother.

  My cousin’s ( name Connie ) daughter ( Tippy ) IS a RH neg.
  Although my cousin Connie is a RH positive.

  I too am RH positive ( I do not have children )

  In the Black Community RH- is rare, however, many Black people
  in the US have European Blood, much like my Family.

  And although I don’t know this until fairly recently , I HIGHLY suspect that my maternal Grandmother Sarah was an RH neg.
  During my genealogy research, I was in touch with her ancestors in the UK and they told me that they were all RH negs.

  Also, (and although I don’t know my maternal Grandfather’s Blood type ), I suspect that if he was RH positive, I believe that he was RH neg Recessive, which I believe that I am RH neg Recessive as well, and was my mother, aunt , brother and cousin.

  As far as characteristics of RH neg, my mother had Hazel Eyes, as did my maternal Grandfather.
  My Father had a Widows Peak, a trait found in high percentages of Scottish people.

  As stated, my Father’s Linage was Brass Ankle( aka Mulatto until 1924 ) African and Caucasian ( I believe the Caucasian admixture was Scottish )

  And, I also wish to add this about me personally as I believe my life mirrors your perspective about RHnegs, especially concerning intuition and other realms of existence.

  I’ve had Esoteric Experiences and Dreams ( many premonition ) my entire life. ( was born in 1955 )
  I began to have recurring Levitation dreams in 1965 after my Grandmother Sarah passed over ( and interestingly my sister and I ‘saw’ her spirit the night Grandmother Sarah died. (
  My grandmother was taken to the hospital where she died after fainting in the kitchen ).

  In the recurring Levitation Dreams ,they all start out with me running from a group of people , whom I do not know.
  I am being chased by the people and suddenly I began to Levitate and therefore,
  able to escape them.
  The Levitation Dreams I still have to this very day, although not as frequent.

  In 1974, I stumbled upon a Past Life Reading Ad ( and this was a VERY RANDOM find ) in the Dayton Daily Newspaper in the Classified Ad personal section of the Newspaper.

  I WAS NOT Looking for a Past Life Reading!!
  I answered the Ad, mainly because of my dreams ( especially the Levitation dreams ) were becoming more and more Frequent.

  I went to the Readers Home. He did NOT know me or about my dreams, nor did I know him.
  I won’t go into detail about the Reading, but I will say this : Although he told me of several Past Lives which unfortunately I don’t recall, but 2 of the Past Lives ( one in Atlantis, the other as a Monk in Tibet ) were VERY INTRIGUING INDEED, especially the Past Life in Atlantis which
  the Reader said this :
  ” I see you in Atlantis’. You are being taken to an alter to be sacrificed.
  You break away and begin running
  by men in white robes. You are running so fast, and suddenly you begin to LEVITATE!!
  After the men see you Levitate, you then become a person of high rank /social standing..

  I was shocked. There is no way the reader would known about the recurring dreams.
  He then said this : ( and again, this was in 1974 )
  ” Your Soul has always incarnated on Earth in Times of Great Upheavals, and it frightens
  me to know that you are here now.”

  Fast Forward to today and throughout the years, I have had a gazillion Esoteric Experiences and Dreams
  ( many premonition ) which in 2005, I went to the Monroe Institute in Charlottesville VA,
  trying to find and to understand the WHYS..

  Because of the Esoteric Experiences and dreams, I believe in Reincarnation, and , I believe,
  that Linear Time is an Illusion.
  I believe that our Eternal Soul can Transcend Linear TIME ( which I personally believe Our Eternal Soul is connected to God )

  I believe that through our Eternal Soul we can tap into another realm of existence, and I believe
  that WE ALL have the ability to do this as we do so every night in our REM sleep.

  I’m sorry this comment has become so lengthy
  however, I personally believe that knowledge from many perspectives is Power.
  I believe that our Physical Body ( MIND, BLOOD, FLESH ) is NOT who we are, and really doesn’t have that much importance, per se’.

  I believe the Physical Body just serves
  as a vehicle for our Eternal Soul to navigate through this Matrix/ jungle/ Wilderness aka Duality
  Manifestation planet called Earth.
  Nothing more, nothing less.

  I do however believe that our Soul ‘chooses’ a certain time, and a certain Physical Body because of that particular Physical Body’s connections with other Souls ( our family , friends, ancestors linage ect ) and historical events that are ‘probable’ in that particular Body, for example, my journey with a very diverse family which
  has absolutely given me a different perspective of the World.

  In summation,
  I absolutely believe
  We are MORE than our Physical Blood Bodies…

  You are a called a “carrier” when you carry a gene that is not expressed in your own personal phenotype. In this case one rh- and one rh pos. You are pos, but “carry” the negative.

  You do actually have the potential to pass either gene to offspring, but generally the recessive one must be there also in your mate to express fully in offspring. IE: both must be carriers.

  This does not mean that you WILL have a negative child just because both are carriers:
  simplest genetic squares show 25% chance of that happening.

  I remember reading that it was rumored he was O negative, because that is what the emergency room called for as he was rushed in. But the truth is that since O negative is the universal donor, it is what is always called for in emergency situations where the actual blood type is not immediately known. I think that his blood grouping card from New England Baptist Hospital should be accepted as the definitive answer, that he was O positive.

   I know jfk was O+ it was on his dog tag. I wish I knew the connection gor the rest of the rh negative presidents, it’s quite an anomaly with the bloodline being so rare.

  Thank you Christe. Surprising, but there it is. I wonder about his siblings as well. This brings home the fact that we can’t necessarily assume anything from the standard list of physical characteristics we may consider more Rh negative — some are likely, but not necessarily confirmatory. And, given the current resident of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Rh negative does not alway guarantee a commander in chief with empathy and compassion. — Cheers, Catherine

  My dog tags say B+. After donating blood several years I received a card from the blood bank saying I am B-. I had it checked by my Dr.. I’m B neg!

   Not all redheads are rh negative. My father is a redhead of all Irish heritage and is rh positive, but clearly must have rh negative genes, as my mother is rh negative and 2 of their 3 children are rh negative. My brother and I are both redheads as well.

  My daughter and her first son are redheads (strawberry blond/ginger/light red/copper) variety, and are both rH+ as am I. But my father was A-, and it was undoubtedly from his family that the red hair gene was passed to me to be passed to my daughter and first grandson, for my paternal grandmother was said to have been “auburn haired” as was her own mother. (By the time I was born it was white so I can’t say whether it was light red or just brown with reddish highlights.)

  My other two grandsons are blondes, but all of us have my father’s clear blue eyes. My hair and my father’s also was very pale blonde when very young “tow-headed”, but went to brown gradually becoming darker over the years: both of us had reddish highlights in the various browns over the years, which shone out when we spent time in the sunshine. I am 70 now and my hair is still dark brown, with very few gray hairs, and reddish highlights in the sunshine.

  Red hair is said to be recessive, but I am not convinced that the genes express themselves in total either/or fashion. Rather the red genes seem to remain able to lightly express themselves through whatever “dominant” color is inherited! Genetics is not always entirely either/or: some recessives manage to shine through any “dominance.”

  In the same way, many babies born with blue eyes have brown or hazel eyes by a month old: the genes for color seem to be still “competing” for dominance. Some blue eyes have more brownish or greenish rays in them than the blue eyes of others in the same family group.

  Thus, I believe that either the Rh-associated or redhaired personality or spiritual/psychic associated traits also may express whenever the rh- gene is there, but recessive.

  If those traits are connected genetically to (tend to pair with) the rh- gene, there MAY be nothing to keep those “associated-trait-partner genes” from expressing fully in a non-negative type who carries the negative gene. IE: just because the negative is recessive does not mean all its partner genes are entirely recessive. Same for red-hair partner genes, or light color or blue-eye “partner genes.”

  It often comes as a surprise to parents when a red haired baby is born. The gene may have been passed down in recessive fashion for generations.

  As to the original query: Rh- was not discovered scientifically until the 1937, and was not widely known about until some years later. . All presidents before 1937, then, cannot be known. Thirty-one presidents, at least cannot be known, out of 46 altogether. That means 67% cannot be known, so the answer to the question, IMO, is also unknowable.

  There are many artifacts still available covered with Lincoln’s blood, has too much time passed to discern his blood type? What about skeletal remains of the presidents, if permission was granted by their descendants? Washington and Jefferson were auburn haired. It’s something interesting to ponder.

  King Tut’s Rh factor was never determined. It could be with modern technology. In 1969 they only stated he was type A2. I talked with the man who did the examination and he said it is impossible to determine the Rh factor. I also spoke with a top scientist now who informed me it wouldn’t be an issue to determine it now.
  Czar Nicholas II’s blood is also available. It was used to determine his haplogroup, but blood type was never publicly revealed. Of course, I also contacted the people who examined it, but have yet to receive a reply.

  I have read in many places that Lincoln was highly psychic and had premonitions. That is a large Rh-negative trait. He has the physical traits too… prominent cheekbones, high forehead, and pointed ears for starters.
