Loud noises
Prolonged exposure to loud noise alters how the brain processes speech, potentially increasing the difficulty in distinguishing speech sounds, according to neuroscientists. Exposure to intensely loud sounds leads to permanent damage of the hair cells, which act as sound receivers in the ear.
Artificial flavors
Your body craves what it needs, but that craving gets distorted when artificial flavors trick you into craving something that has no value. A great example are potato chips. It isn’t the potatoes that you crave, but what the artificial flavors represent. Then, when you go for it and “feed your need”, your body will still crave what it wanted while being overloaded in non-food items.
Canned food
Most food cans are made from aluminum, a metal that has been linked over and over again with neurotoxicity and brain disease, including Alzheimer’s. Cans without BPA coating leave your food exposed to aluminum, and all of the potential health hazards that come with it.
High-voltage electrical fields
Your body is electric, so while EMS is considered pseudoscience, those with understanding tend to be alerted of the negative impact that such high-powered outlets can have.
Polyester/nylon/acrylic clothing
Wear nature on your body. Those sensitive enough often react badly in some fashion to plastic fashion.
Alcohol/nicotine/tobacco/cigarettes
Ridding our bodies of toxins might be harder for Rh negatives, so when I look at new studies showing a much larger effect of cigarettes and a significantly larger effect of alcohol on us, I am not surprised.
Filler, not food
Bread, pasta, noodles, spaghetti, pizza, lasagne: High-carb man-made filler items designed to make your meal cheaper and replace what you need with what you don’t.
Some shampoos/conditioners/body wash
Remember: Your body can absorb chemicals, so if there are harmful ones, it can affect you. In case of doubt, soap might be the answer.
People who demand too much attention
One of the most underrated resources is peace of mind. It allows you to evaluate and decide without pressure. You have a certain amount of energy to spread. If you waste it on the wrong people, you may not have any left for the right people.
Interruptions
Do you like getting phone calls? How about back in the old days when you were not sure who was calling? Are you like me where you don’t like getting calls as most of the time they are interruptions to what your energy is moving towards?
Living a life that’s not your own
R.W. Fassbinder told John Hughes about Angst vor der Angst:
“FEAR OF FEAR isn’t really about mental illness, it’s a film about the ‘normal’ human condition. Mental illness is an essential part of a society like the one we live in. I only show the life of a completely normal person, not an extreme situation. (…) The film shows how someone who tries to lead a life that is alien to himself, alienated from the true self, is inevitably shattered. The life this woman has to lead is not her life. Your unconscious begins to realize that she is leading a life that really has nothing to do with her. This type of ‘sickness’ sets in with anyone who begins to realize that the life they are leading may not be the life they would like to lead, and that most people are simply playing roles in their lives that are not theirs Role is. This is how you get ‘sick’. (…) “
Remember: We don’t need to act as if mental and physical health were not connected.
Toilet paper
Yes, you’ve read me correctly. Think about it. I will not get too detailed, but it doesn’t clean you. You will feel a lot better being clean than being under the illusion of cleanliness, so my advice is as follows: Unless you are in Asia where the water hose and soap are right there, take a shower afterwards.
Baking with aluminum foil
This should be a no-brainer, but it’s been done for so long, grandma couldn’t possibly have been wrong about this… well she was and maybe still is.
Shopping cart handles
This is just one of many examples for things you shouldn’t touch with your bare hands and it’s a major one. If you touch your eyes after an unprotected shopping trip, it is easy to get an eye infection. Look up what has been found in random examinations of shopping cart handles and you will not forget. The same goes for faucet handles and door handles of public restrooms… after you have washed your hands, avoid contact.
Dust
Do you have carpets? Do you clean them regularly? Do you have allergies? What materials are your sofas made of? Think about what you are willing to do to keep your house dust-free and buy accordingly.
Food items you are allergic to
I seem to have increased sensitivity to many of the things listed above. I think that it’s so hard to pinpoint what you are allergic or sensitive to. It is a a process of elimination. Of course, in many cases we have no control over our exposures such as EMFs, loud noises, pollution, smart meters, and 5 G towers, if you live in the city. I imagine that country dwellers are healthier. But we don’t all have that option.
A few years ago I broke out with two different types of psoriasis. I found I have no outbreaks if I stay away from high-fructose corn syrup! Only an occasional coca-cola hecho in Mexico for me. Additionally I can’t wear metal on my body. It used to be just nickel I believe. Now all hearings seem to bother me.
Speaking of things that might be harmful to negative blood types, I became ill after receiving a flu shot. I was starting college and I thought it was a good idea. After the shot I had headaches where I felt like my head was in a vise , I also experienced extreme fatigue, and felt very sick for around 2 months. It was a struggle to finish the first semester. I believe the shots are made with positive blood plasma — which – in my opinion/experience shouldn’t be used for negative blood types. Since we are only about 5%, I believe, in the United States, this does not surprise me. A holistic doctor informed me that vaccines contain mercury and other toxic substances and he thought my body had an adverse reaction to it. As a child a received a polio shot which raised a giant lump on my arm. I also became really sick and no doctor could diagnose my illness. I think this was in the same time frame that I received the vaccine. I also had a bad reaction to the shot given to me at the birth of my twin daughters( I think it’s called a rhogam injection ). I experienced a psoriasis type affliction on my hands and it took a long time to go away Turned out my twins were o negs anyway !
Those are all accurate. I’m effected very much by barometric pressure. So much so I become sick to my stomach, d Izzy and confused. The headaches joint aches prior to a storm can become very painful. Just had Verizon try to install internet. They placed a 5g box in my place. Instantly I heard buzzing felt sick got headache. Had to tell them to remove it from house. Man have me different box…I still have not plugged it in. Oh yes…LED lights make me feel sick to..I read they give of R F frequencies also… Just a few maybe others sensitive to.
fwiw: i’m extremely sensitive to smells…detest mold…do not like bright lights….often wear a hat of visor to keep unwanted light out of my eyes…do not like plastics in general…nor hairspray or perfumes…tend to only like cotton, wool & leather as fabrics – no synthetics or mixed materials. would often wear earplugs at work (not always because it was too noisy) to keep out too feminine music, distracting sounds, conversations and so on (they/earplugs helped me to stay focused on my own thoughts/they helped my thinking/helped me stay sane). i suggest using 3% hydrogen peroxide (works well & is not expensive) and/or “witch hazel” products for staying clean between showers.
Toothpaste: I settled on Jason due to the lower price, the “powersmile” peppermint doesn’t taste amazing, but seriously, it’s toothpaste, rinse and you’re done. Their “healthy mouth” tea tree oil and cinnamon tastes better, but comes in a smaller tube. I am not impressed with “Tom’s” as they still use sodium laureth sulfate.
Deodorant: I’m pretty particular with using baking soda, that’s it. Just smear some (1/2 Tablespoon or so) on a slightly damp armpit after you shower. No store bought deodorant has ever worked for me long term and the ingredients scare me. I have also noticed a huge difference in the way clothing makes me smell, namely rayon, spandex, etc., If it’s not 100% cotton I seriously can’t even wear it, 40/60 or any other combination will stink no matter what, and I noticed that long before giving up on deodorant.
Soap: I use “Defense” peppermint, it’s the best I’ve found. Charcoal soap for my face.
Shampoo/Conditioner: I use a combination of soap berry liquid and baking soda. Buy the seedless soap berries that come with a muslin bag, soak 5 berries in 4 cups filtered water, boil and simmer for 20 minutes, squeeze bag, remove berries and dry them and bag for next use, about 3 times. I add 2-3 tablespoons baking soda for added cleaning, but you don’t have to. The soap berries have a particular smell that I’m not fond of, but I don’t add essential oils to the mixture since you’re going to rinse it out, the smell will not linger.
Follow up baking soda use with apple cider vinegar to balance your hair, it is a must. I rinse with 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar in 18 oz water or tea, chamomile or peppermint. Let it sit in for a minute and rinse. I use squirting water bottles for the mixtures, and store them in the fridge. Obviously you have to squirt and massage into your scalp a little at a time, but it’s worth the effort. After shower I spray my hair with mixture of water and a little bit of grape seed oil and essential oils (cinnamon cassia and cardamom), I use a sturdy spray bottle that is meant for hair so it doesn’t get clogged. I prefer to spray in oils rather than washing out which is a waste. Cardamom oil smells amazing to me, it’s even mild enough to use on your skin, but cinnamon isn’t.
I prefer this method after a lot of experimenting, it’s not instant gratification, but you can bet most things that are instant are bad for you. My hair stays clean longer and is healthier, I only have to wash my hair 2-3 times a week, which is the optimal time frame as daily use of baking soda and acv is not a good idea. But like I said, my hair and scalp are cleaner, store bought shampoo and conditioner does not do that and the tap water here is awful so the combination used to leave my hair damaged and awful. I also don’t dye my hair, and seldom blow dry it. I started getting white hairs at age 17 so I accepted it early, I don’t care about who wants to gasp at the sight of my aged hairs. I also never use makeup, and besides the terrible ingredients in makeup, most have a very short life before they “expire” and most people have no idea, they hold on to makeup for months because it cost them so much. Also synthetic sandals and crocs are awful and should not be worn on bare feet, most people don’t know or don’t even care.
Im anxious so not fond for loud noise. I think that as RH negatives everything around us we are hyperaware of. I believe that a sport or hobby that is cathartic and allows us to rest our minds can benefit our health. Noise is not relaxing. I was told that my Lupus was caused from chronic stress. In ways the world we live in does not fit me. If I was able to live where i want do what makes me happy and eat foods i crave, im sure my health wood benefit.
i use ivory bar soap to wash my hair & body. that’s about as simple as it gets – since i don’t have to go out/go away from the house where i live to work. my shower cycle is ~ every 4 days. this works for me. what works for each is what’s most important. differences are interesting, which means maybe i can learn something new.
