There are many terms floating around which are widely misunderstood.
“Intuition” is one of them.
There are two types of sources when it comes to getting the definition:
- people who are intuitive and understand the meaning, but are not likely able or willing to verbalize within the boundaries of the communication attempt called language
- those who are not intuitive, try to understand it and usually don’t get it right
The only real definition that I don’t see being up for debate would be: KNOWING
If you needed another additional hint, it would be JUST KNOWING in comparison to the general perception of “knowing”.
My main audience are those with functional intuition and the only advice I really give is:
Don’t take your intuition for granted.
It is a tool and when unused, you may not do as well as you otherwise would and could.
You can always tune back in, but I think that the key is to have constant guidance rather than only in situations when things get hairy.
I have another message for those of you who don’t think you have intuition yet might:
If since childhood you have been taking meds for ADHD, have you ever been re-evaluated?
I am not preaching and done speaking logic with the ones who don’t wish to learn with me, but it is just one of the many things that if you are medicated, be it on alcohol, legal or illegal drugs to the extent where escapism leads you far from the center of the path that is for you, don’t expect intuition to kick in.
It might here and there, but likely it will come in delayed or distorted, meaning:
It can backfire.
