Researchers identify association between blood groups and longevity. Having a non-O blood group is associated with an increased risk of death, particularly from cardiovascular disease (such as ischemic heart disease and stroke), according to research published in open access journal BMC Medicine.

Thank you mike ,interesting. My dad b neg died from cardiomyopathy. I’ve had heart issues high cholesterol. So why does type I have less issues? I’ve been slammed with all the bad associated with th neg blood. Lupus , heart issues… I do look young for my age that’s a plus…

The results are solid…but are also testimony to the lack of research and attention to blood group issues in the US. The primary agency in this study was based in Teheran.
Hospitals only pay attention to blood groups for transfusions and pregnancies…..yet it is clear that much more is going on !
